The terms governing use of FairMind’s public website, research material, and product information.

1. Acceptance and scope

These terms apply to use of the public FairMind website and its published materials. Access to a FairMind product workspace may be governed by a separate agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the website.

2. Informational and research material

Website content describes product capabilities, implementation states, research methods, and known limitations. Research-stage, metadata-only, external-provider, unavailable, and validated paths are not interchangeable. Nothing on the website is a guarantee that an AI system is safe, lawful, compliant, certified, or suitable for release.

3. Human decision boundary

Evaluation outputs, findings, evidence mappings, and readiness signals support review. They do not replace professional judgment or an accountable decision-maker. You remain responsible for deciding how to use outputs in your technical, legal, security, and governance context.

4. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, abuse access-request forms, introduce malicious code, scrape in a manner that degrades service, or use published material to misrepresent a certification, endorsement, or regulatory conclusion.

5. Intellectual property and open source

Website design, copy, and branding are protected by applicable rights. Code and research artifacts published in the FairMind repository are governed by the licenses and notices in that repository. A public link does not remove those terms.

6. Availability and changes

FairMind may change or discontinue website content and may update these terms. The current version and date appear on this page. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every described capability is deployed in every environment.

7. Disclaimers

The public website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. FairMind disclaims implied warranties that cannot be supported by the evidence and scope described on the page.

The short version

The website explains what FairMind is building and what the current evidence supports. It is not a certificate generator, legal opinion, or automatic permission to ship an AI system.

Use the labels

“Validated path,” “active research,” “metadata only,” and “unavailable” describe materially different capability states. Please do not flatten them into “FairMind verified this.”

Keep a person accountable

Use technical results as evidence. Review their limitations. Then let the responsible person make and document the decision.

Responsibility path

EvaluationScoped result, provenance, and limitationsCorrect system definition and appropriate test choice

The legal text governs. Summaries provide context and do not replace it.

Ask a precise question

AI evaluation · safety · governance

Turn test results into evidence a decision can survive.

Bind the exact subject, evaluator, threshold, artifact, limitation, finding, remediation, retest, and human review in one defensible chain.
Start with a real evidence path.

No inflated readiness score. No automatic compliance claim. We begin with what was actually tested.

Product truth: missing evidence never becomes a pass, a mapping never accepts itself, and FairMind does not certify AI systems.
